Somatic comes from the Greek word soma, meaning “body.” Somatic practices focus on how your body feels from the inside, engaging the somatosensory system-the body’s network for sensing internal and external sensations-to help you connect more deeply with your body’s wisdom

Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word “yuj” meaning “to yoke” or “to join.” It’s a practice focused on uniting body, mind, and spirit. Yoga is a practice & a philosophy, for achieving a state of harmony and balance within ourself and with the world around us. 

sOMa sessions merge Somatic Practices & Yoga inviting participants to listen to their bodies, notice areas of tension or imbalance, and respond with movements that support both physical and emotional well-being. In sOMa, you’re invited to move at your own pace, in your own way, engaging as much as your like. We offer options throughout the session aiming to make the experience as accessible and supportive as we possibly can.

Sessions are facilitated by Sarah Truman, a Integrative Mental Health Aware Yoga & Somatic Teacher & Therapist drawing on knowledge and tools from;

  • Movement Therapy

  • Yoga Therapy

    Sarah is also currently completing a bachelor of Psychological Science

Session Details

  • sOMa sessions are offered through a monthly pass. For $35 you can come on one session or all of them - the choice is yours.

  • All sessions are recorded and available for viewing for 30 days.

    So you will have access to the live sessions plus all recorded sessions from the previous 30 days.

  • Session times are published at the beginning of each month. We will always offer 3 live sessions each week. If for some reason the scheduled live session can’t go ahead we will notify you by email and schedule a make up session as soon as possible. There will be 12 live sessions every calendar month.

  • Once you have purchased your session pass you will be emailed a booking link. Each session has a unique zoom link which will also be emailed to you. We use acuity booking system so you will also have the option to add it to your calendar in your time zone making it easier to join us from anywhere in the world.

  • We plan things monthly. Around the 20th of the month we will share the following months scheduled live sessions.

    You are welcomed however to join at any time, your 30 day membership starts when ever you want.
