Yin Yoga is primarily a floor based practice where we focus on the connective 'Yin' tissues in the body (not the 'Yang' muscles).
We therapeutically apply gentle stress to the body as we stretch or compress specific targeted areas with the intention of balancing & harmonising the bodies energy system.
Each posture is held for around 3 - 8 minutes with a focus on how the body feels not how the body looks
We will never tell you exactly how to position your body instead skilfully guiding you into shapes with a specific intention
ITEMS YOU MIGHT LIKE TO HAVE CLOSE BY WHEN YOU PRACTICE * A towel or a few cushions - even your pillow from bedroom is perfect * Something to cover your eyes - a scarf or hand towel works well * A body covering to keep you warm for the beginning & end of your practice
If you have fancy yoga props great but they are not essential trust you have everything in your home you need
