5 Week Pre Natal Series

1. Deep twist. Avoid compressing squashing the belly (avoid twisting across the body - open twist are fine)
2.Laying on your back. As your belly gets bigger, avoid laying on your back for more then a few breaths. You can still do these poses but use your blocks and bolster to create a reclined elevated supported ramp for your back.
3 Deep back bending or a lot of back bending. We want to treat the muscles that are supporting holding your baby in place with deep respect. Extra relaxin in your body is there to support the body opening and relaxing but we don't want to take it to far.
4. Laying on your belly, for obvious reasons. but again using props you can often still achieve most poses or ask your teacher for an alternative pose/shape.
5. Inversions. General rule of thumb we want things moving down in their natural direction instead of turning your world upside down.
