TCTSY is evidence-based methodology that integrates trauma theory, attachment theory, and neuroscience with yoga philosophy & practice.

We offer a 10 week embodied program for trauma recovery

that focuses on your internal experience

instead of your external expressions

Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY), offers a path to empowerment and healing for those impacted by early life trauma, relational challenges, and experiences of emotional, sexual, or physical abuse.

TCTSY is an empirically validated, clinical intervention

for complex trauma &

chronic treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Sessions include an invitation to;

Practice being present - throughout the session, there are opportunities to practice being present with our bodies and noticing different sensations

Practice making choices - participants have the autonomy to choose how they move their bodies and engage with the practices

Practice taking effective action - by noticing sensations in our bodies (or lack of sensation) you can utilise this as a guide to inform how you move your body (or choose stillness)

By focusing on the felt sense of the body to inform choice-making, TCTSY provides opportunities for participants to restore their connection between mind and body and to cultivate a sense of agency that is often compromised as a result of surviving trauma. We use invitational language, and aim to minimise any teacher/student power dynamics, and consciously focus on the accessibility of the practice.

Trauma-sensitive principles allow space to safely re-connect the body and mind into a felt sense of integration and wholeness by beginning to befriend the body.

There is no need to have an official diagnosis to attend these sessions, nor any yoga experience. We also do not need to know the details around your trauma.

We do suggest that you have a key person that you’re able to communicate your experiences with. There is also the option to pair these sessions with 1:1 Yoga Therapy or in conjunction with your existing talk therapy.

Sessions will run over 10 consecutive weeks

These sessions will be offered via ZOOM

You can choose to have your camera on or off

You can engage in these sessions however you choose

Sessions will not be recorded

Zoom access available from 15 minutes before start time

Sessions limited to 5 people

Sessions are offered on a tiered investment system:

Tier 1 - $450 AUD - abundant access to income

Tier 2 - $370 AUD - standard access to income

Tier 3 - $290 AUD - limited access to income

*we reserve 1 space on each session for any individual where income is a barrier to accessing these services. Payment plan is also available if needed.
